Our faith formation programs offer children and young people a comprehensive background in the basic teachings of our faith. We strive to help them develop a friendship with Jesus Christ and to be a strong support to the primary faith formation that children receive in their homes. As part of the programs, children actively participate in meaningful worship and prayer, in-depth sacramental preparation, and ongoing moral development. 

Our inclusive program is structured to respond to a variety of learning needs and styles, and we prioritize providing or connecting families with necessary support so that every student can grow in faith.

About the Team
Kristina Preman, Director of Religious Education and Coordinator for Grades K-5
Kristina has been serving the Church in Newton since 2010. In addition to her role as the DRE, Kristina serves our Collaborative as a Senior Pastoral Associate. Kristina grew up in Shrewsbury and attended Notre Dame Academy in Worcester. She's a Boston College graduate times two, with her BA and MA in Theology and Pastoral Ministry respectively. Kristina and her husband Ben have one child, a preschooler named Anna.

Leslee Ambrosio, Coordinator of Religious Ed for Grades 6-10
Leslee joined the staff in September 2024. She is a native of the Philippines and earned her Master of Theology from the Clough School of Theology and Ministry at Boston College in Summer 2024. She brings a wealth of parish and religion teaching experience and is excited to serve our young people and their families.

Class Options
Confirmation Classes for Grades 8 & 9 (with older grades welcome!) will meet on Sunday evenings at Our Lady's in two sessions with the 6:00pm Mass in between.
Session 1 is 4:45-5:45pm. Session 2 is 7:00-8:00pm. We ask that each family/student commit to one session of choice (rather than going back and forth week-to-week).

The schedule is as follows: September 21 (orientation with parents and students), September 28, October 5, October 19, October 26, November 2, November 9, November 16 (retreat #1 on Cape Cod) , November 23, December 7, December 14, January 4, January 11, January 25, February 1, March 1, March 8, March 15 (retreat #2 on Cape Cod), March 22, March 29, and April 12 (celebration with parents and students). There is a snow date built in.
