Youth Ministry in our collaborative is the response of our faith community to the needs of young people
and the sharing of unique gifts of youth with the parish. It is a ministry to, with, by, and for youth.
High School Youth Group
Youth Group for Grades 8-12 will now meet on Friday nights from 6 - 7 PMPlease join us for food, activities, and friends in Christ! We gather in the McPherson Room of Our Lady's (downstairs).

Workcamp Service Trip
Each summer, the teens from our community embark upon a week-long service trip called Workcamp to help those in need.
The trip usually happens right after the school year ends and before the July 4th holiday. Workcamp has been a part of the community life at Our Lady's since 1997 and is open to all of the youth of our Collaborative! In June our work-campers travelled to Nashville, TN for a week of service and worship. Here are some pictures of this year's trip:
Notes from WorkCamp
At the end of June, a group of 34 from our collaborative and from St. Eulalia, Winchester, went down to Knoxville, Tennessee,
for Catholic Heart Workcamp. We went for a week of service and spiritual growth and happily experienced an abundance of both.
Despite the weather being hot and muggy, 250 teenagers from all over the country were able to perform over 6,000 hours of
community service for local agencies, residents, the homebound, the handicapped, and the financially disenfranchised around
the Knoxville area. Each group of 7 to 8 people were assigned to tasks, such as helping out at food banks or completing
miscellaneous house projects—like painting, small soffit repairs, and even building a few wheelchair ramps. I personally worked
with a group who built a wheelchair ramp that was 100 linear feet!
Luckily, the weather held out for our free day as we were scheduled to go to the Dollywood waterpark. This was many campers’
first time to Dollywood, and it was a great way to cap off our wonderful week of daily Mass, service, socializing, and praising Jesus!

Cor Unum Meal Center in Lawrence
Join us to serve those in need at Cor Unum Center in Lawrence. No experience necessary, and students will receive three hours of community service credit for Confirmation and/or school requirements.

Middle School Youth Ministry
NEW! Middle School Life Teen Edge Nights
These events are for those in Grades 5-8 and take place 7:00-8:00pm at Our Lady’s.
We do need volunteers (high schoolers and adults) to help with this program. Please contact Jared to inquire about assisting in whatever capacity you feel comfortable. Parents of middle schoolers are especially encouraged to participate here!

Scouting at Our Lady's
Our Lady's sponsors four very active scouting units:
Cub Scout Pack 355 for boys and girls in Grades 1-5.
Scouts BSA Troop 355 for boys ages 11-17
Scouts BSA Troop 355 for girls ages 11-17
Venture Crew 355 for young men and women ages 14-20 (currently inactive due the pandemic, we hope to restart soon!)
